POSITION: Concierge

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Incumbent will be an integral contributor to the Guest Relations Dept. The mission of the department is to inspire loyalty for life within patients. The primary responsibilities are to demonstrate superior customer service skills, seek out opportunities to assist patients. This includes providing direction to patients on how to successfully reach their desired location, provide directional assistance to the clinic from callers, seek out opportunities to WOW, call transport services when asked, and help facilitate the transport services process.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Exhibits superior customer service skills.
  2. Greets patrons of The South Bend Clinic.
  3. Seeks out opportunities to inform, direct, and educate people on how to locate their desired location.
  4. Promotes the physicians and services available at The South Bend Clinic.
  5. When needed, facilitates travel arrangements for those in need of assistance.
  6. Distributes brochures, handouts, and flyers when appropriate.
  7. Distributes and collects employment applications for the Human Resources Department.
  8. Serves as a Receptionist for Human Resource candidates.
  9. Maintains current and accurate information on the lobby board.
  10. Monitors all incoming and outgoing traffic in the Main lobby.
  11. Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
  12. Takes initiative to seek out tasks and duties or to assist others as necessary.
  13. Keeps main lobby area clean.
  14. Knowledgeable of changes taking place within the organization. Seeks out opportunities to stay informed.
  15. Knowledgeable of all offices within the clinic and satellite offices.
  16. Understands the other guest relations positions and is able to step in and assist as needed.
  17. Ability to pass Guest Relation’s assessments.
  18. Strong knowledge of the Code System.
  19. Builds relationships with external transport services.
  20. Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
  21. Demonstrates the attitudes and behaviors of The South Bend Clinic Service Standards.
  22. Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
  23. Adheres to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education/Certification/License:

High school diploma/GED is required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must possess a professional appearance and have the ability to meet and welcome people coming into the clinic. Good communication skills are essential as is the ability to handle patients that may need special attention or services. Must be dependable, punctual and able to conduct themselves in a matter appropriate for a healthcare facility.
